FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Teams of 2-8 peopls are locked in themed games/rooms for 60 minutes and must try to work out how to escape before the time runs out. The Ultimate Escape can accommodate 56 players at one time in showdowns for the ultimate team building experience. This involves exploring the room, looking for hints and puzzles, opening locks, gathering various items and solving the obstacles one by one which eventually leads you to the exit.
The Ultimate Escape is for anyone looking for something fun, unique, and challenging. It’s perfect for friends and families, corporations and businesses, gamers and team building events. The Ultimate Escape is all about challenging people 12 years and up. Challengers under the age of 16, however, must bring an adult as our puzzles have stumped many grownups!
The Ultimate Escape games are perfect for:
Are we really locked inside?
We close your group in, but we don’t really “lock” you in. You do have the option to leave the room at anytime.
I am claustrophobic, can I play?
Our rooms are fairly spacious with high ceilings and reasonable size (The smallest section is similar size to a small front porch). We leave the entry door unlocked and hope that makes you feel more comfortable.
Is it scary?
No. There are no startles, scares or horror elements in the game. The game is designed to be fun and challenging without being scary or mature.
I want to bring my kids, is that possible?
Yes. Ages 12 and up. Infants and strollers can be brought into The Ultimate Escape, but toddlers and young children are not permitted – we aren’t child proof, safe or suitable for fast moving little people. All players under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult - a ratio of 1 adult for every three children is required.
Are these games designed for kids?
We are kid-friendly, but the puzzles will provide a challenge suitable for adults. Kids will enjoy hunting for clues and opening locks, while adults are generally required to solve most puzzles. We do not recommend large groups of young children as they often get distracted and the accompanying adults end up completing the game rather than the children.
What is your cancellation policy?
This is a live event game, and once the booking is confirmed, we cannot accept any cancellations, or give any refunds. However you can reschedule the game for another time by giving us at least 1 day’s notice. For reschedules, please contact us by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 1-519-885-9595.
Are photos allowed in the rooms?
Taking photos and/or videos is not permitted in our rooms. We would be happy to take a group photo for you outside the play area.
Is the space wheelchair accessible?
All of our games can be accessed with a wheelchair. Please call for details.
Will we be grouped with other people?
No. All of our games are private games, which means that when you book your group you will be alone with them in the room for the entire experience.
Can just two people play in one of your rooms?
With the number of puzzles and clues to solve in our rooms, we recommend a minimum of four players. You are welcome to play with just two players, however, you may not complete all the tasks and may not escape.
What time should I arrive?
Please try to arrive 5 minutes before your game time.
How long will it take?
The game itself is 60 minutes and there is a 6 minute briefing, introduction and question period prior to starting and photos after. You can plan to be at The Ultimate Escape for approximately 80 minutes in total.
What happens if I am late?
This is a live action event. To avoid a long waiting time for the following group, we may have to reduce the game time if your group arrives more than 10 minutes after your booked start time.
What happens if we don’t escape in time?
We have challenging games but we provide unlimited hints so most groups complete the games or get very close! If time allows, your game master may allow you to continue playing to escape and if not they will show you how you could have escaped.
Do you have a party room?
Yes we do!! We have a FREE party room with games that you can use. You are welcome to reserve the room for before or after your game. You are welcome to bring food, drinks or snacks or order food to be delivered for your party.
Is it possible to personalize a room?
Yes, it is possible to hide presents in the room, which can be found during the game by someone celebrating a birthday, special occasion, wedding, anniversary etc. Please call us to discuss the details of your special occasion and personalization needs at 519-885-9595
How much does it cost?
2 people $26.00 each
3-16 people $22.00 each
17+ people $17.70 each
How do I pay?
Full payment is processed when you book your room. Online we accept Visa, MasterCard or PayPal. We can accept payment on our premises as well for extra players if required.
What is an Ultimate Challenge?
For an Ultimate Challenge, you break your group into two different teams. One team starts in one half of the game and the second team starts in the other half. Both teams race against each other and the clock for 30 minutes. Everyone then
goes to the party room while we reset. Once the game is reset, both teams return to race again in the opposit halves of the game for another 30 minutes. It can be a fun way to play the games for those who are competitive in nature.
What is an Ultimate Showdown?
For an Ultimate Showdown, you break your group into three different teams. One team starts in one half of the game, the second team starts in the second half of the game and the third team participates in a WhoDunnit Activity. Every 30 minutes the groups rotate through and when they are done each team will have had 1 hour in the escape game and 30 minutes at the WhoDunnit Activity. It can be a fun way to play the games for those who are competitive and allows larger groups to all participate in the same game. Please call us to book your Ultimate Showdown at 519-885-9595.
